At Obsequio Group, the real story isn’t just in the data — it’s in the people behind it.
One of those people is Matt Peet, who’s been part of the Obsequio journey for an incredible 17 years. Starting out as a Data Inputter with CDS, one of our group companies, Matt’s mix of quiet determination and technical curiosity saw him grow into his current role as a System and Data Analyst — a vital part of our team.
Matt’s career is a brilliant example of what happens when commitment meets curiosity. Over the years, he’s become known not just for his technical knowledge, but for his ability to turn complex systems and data into real insight — often quietly, always effectively.
But this year, Matt is stepping outside the server room and onto the streets of London. He’s taking on one of the toughest physical and mental challenges out there: the London Marathon.
What started as a personal challenge quickly became something bigger:
“When I first entered the ballot, I never expected to get in. But once I did, I knew I had to give it my all. Training has taken me across the country, along canals, through parks — and introduced me to people on the same journey. It’s been incredible.”
As Matt trained, it became clear this wasn’t just about distance. It was a chance to make a difference. That’s when he was introduced to Youth 4 Youth, and everything changed.
“At first, I kept the challenge to myself. But I realised I was missing the bigger picture — the opportunity to support a cause that could change lives.”
Youth 4 Youth is a UK-based charity supporting young people aged 10–25 through peer-to-peer mentoring. Their mission is to create safe, non-judgmental spaces for young people to talk about their mental health with someone who truly understands — someone their own age.
For young people who feel isolated or unable to speak with adults or professionals, that peer connection can make all the difference. It’s early intervention, empathy, and empowerment — all led by youth, for youth.
“It’s an honour to support a cause like this,” says Matt. “Every young person deserves to feel heard, and Youth 4 Youth gives them that chance. Every donation, no matter how small, helps them keep doing that work.”
Training hasn’t been easy. There have been setbacks — illness, injury, early mornings, long solo miles.
“Running long distances is so much more technical than I expected. Fueling, pacing, injury prevention — it’s been a learning curve. But every time I think about giving up, I remind myself why I started. No matter what comes my way, I’ll be on that start line — and I’m determined to cross the finish.”
At Obsequio, we’re proud to stand behind Matt — not just for 17 years of dedicated work, but for using his personal journey to drive real-world impact.
